Should the NYC doorman have been fired for having bad breath (halitosis)?

You can find the story on The Drudge Report. According to the news story, he has been on the job for 40 years and supports his 81-year-old mother. He says he has stopped eating garlic, now uses mouthwash and has been taking breath mints on the job. Even tenants of the building have taken up for him and say his job was only to open the door, not to open his mouth.

If only he uses the mouthwash from it will not happen to him. However, the ground for his termination is not that heavy.
