How come when something smells really bad, most people still breath through their nose to avoid tasting it?

    I think it’s a mental habbit.

    Things that smell bad also tend to be an irritant. Take a nice deep mouth breath the next time you detect a bad smell. Your throat will likely hurt or be irritated. This is where your nose hairs come in: They act as a filtration system.
