Have you followed your dog around to see what he/she has been eating or getting into? There are so many things at a dogs level that we don’t pay any attention to. It can be the tiniest of things. My house is very old and my dog is always finding something that we never even knew was here. He/she may also have a cavity or an abcess tooth. All animals have dental problems along with many of the same health problems as we do? Who knows, the dog may just suffer from dry mouth and need his tongue scraped every now and then. Talk to your vet and see if he/she can help you come up with a solution (that is affordable). Make sure the vet starts with the simple things first and not “rule out” the big things. If it’s been going on for any length of time, it is a little late to rule out the big things. Not to mention, some dogs just get this odor and we don’t know why, I believe that it has to do with the food they eat and dental hygiene, but getting a dog to let you brush their teeth is not always going to happen. Nor am I willing to do this either.

She may need her teeth cleaned by your vet. All the brushing in the world by you will not remove the plaque and tartar that is on her teeth. it needs to be ultrasonically removed by a professional.

Very bad breath in a dog is the first sighn of tooth decay or gum disease.Even though you brush your dogs teeth, you need to see the vet to rule out the possibility of an abcess or gum problem.
