Yes, I have tried brushing her teeth.
Yes, I have tried the dog treats that make dogs breath smell better.
Dont get me wrong, these things do work, but only for a few minutes.
Any tips on how I can get my dog Lila’s breath to smell better? (shes not very lady-like with all that bad breath) ;)
Please&&thankyou

    If her bad breath is permanent, it sounds like it’s time for Lila to see her vet to have her teeth and gums checked. She may need a dental, or perhaps they can just do a scaling. Then, with good food and regular brushing, you can look after them from there.

    It’s really important to look after a dog’s teeth because gingivitis can cause serious health problems (heart, kidney e.g.). Let your vet check her and tell you what she needs.

    Your dog probably has tartar build up on her teeth or gum infection – take her to the vet and get her a dental, this is very important for her general health too.

    She may have some digestive issues, or may simply need her teeth cleaned (which I know can be terribly expensive), so you might want to make an appt. w/ the vet.. Our doxie has serious death breath that could kill a corpse, so I feel for ya’!

    feed your dog bowls of toothpaste, instead of food.. and instead of water put listerine for them to drink lol

    Actually, she probally has a dental problem, vet checkup would be great for her

    Bad breath can be a sign of dental disease, kidney disease, and diabetes. Maybe other things as well.

    You can put doggie on BARF diet, give raw beef and lamb bones, that sort of thing. Maybe green tripe 3 times or so a week. (Must be green. White is no good.) See if that helps.

    But if bad breath persists, I would take doggie to vet, especially if it is accompanied by lethargy or other changes in behaviour.

    First, check with your vet. Bad breath in dogs is caused by a number of things – diseases and dental disorders. But if your dog’s breath is bad because he eats cat scat or deer droppings, then try a product called Breath Friend from. It costs $10 for a 2 ounce bottle (plus shipping) but that two ounces lasts a long time because you only use a drop or two at a time. You rub it on your dog’s gums. Dogs usually don’t mind, if your hands are clean, because the gel is odorless and tasteless. It probably won’t work, though, if the problem is a disease or a dental disorder.

    Good luck!
