most of the time bad breath is an indication of dental disease. take him to the vet for a dental exam and possiable cleaning.

I agree with 1st answer. Get his teeth cleaned, it will make the world of difference

More likely he’s got a bad tooth, or dental issues. Kidney disease also has very bad breath as a symptom. That’s not normal, or just something that can be blamed on diet – he’s eating what wild cats would eat.

i asked this question at the vets and they told me that when you feed them wet cat food like felix,go cat,whiskers stuff like that the things that are in it make your cats breath go really smelly she told me to try to get it to eat dry food(cat biscuits) instead

my cat was the same,we took him to the vet and his gums were infected,he now only has 3 teeth left after his recent dental!
